It is easily done. One little lie upon another lie and before you know it your mind is tainted. What we think influences every action. If you desire happiness, smile until you feel it. Self deception involves the wrong motives applied with a twist. Honest talk about your circumstances hinders self deception. So, talk honestly with yourself and with Jesus Christ. Then apply your daily dose of wisdom to all your situations.

For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
